Somerset-based Chesters Commercial has appointed Tim Simmons, former CEO of Humberts, as its new senior associate.
Simmons was CEO of Humberts, which went into administration last year. The company revealed it appointed Begbies Traynor to handle its administration as the estate agents reported a bank overdraft of £283,105 and had debts totalling £970,773 to be paid in this year.
Begbies Traynor, is now seeking a buyer for the business which is separate to its six franchised branches, which continue to trade as normal.
Simmons spent over 21 years at Humberts beginning his career as director at the estate agency firm, he spent nine months as CEO before going into administration.
During his time at Humberts, he also held the position of head of residential, director of sales and marketing as well as chief operating officer.
