Connells estate agency has been appointed by construction company Willmott Dixon as sole selling agent for Bristol City Council’s first development scheme offered for private sale, Ashton Rise.
The development forms part of Bristol City Council’s plans to increase the supply of new homes in the city and consists of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses set in the Ashton Vale suburb of Bristol.
Ashton Rise is just three miles south-west of the city centre and close to the 850 acres of woods and open grassland of the Ashton Court Estate.
Each home is described as being built to the “highest modern standards” offering a low carbon footprint – heating and hot water is provided via Ground source heat pump and kitchens come with energy-efficient integrated appliances.
The houses will also benefit from their own gardens, while the development as a whole has been designed around “attractive” open spaces, an orchard and a seasonal wetland.
Prices at Ashton Rise start from £195,000 for a one bedroom apartment and two bedroom homes start from £240,000.
Paul Matthews, Connells new homes board of management partner, said: “This is an exciting instruction for us which has already proved very popular with local house buyers. Indeed, since opening our sales office on-site in November, we have already had 14 units reserved and there is a keen interest from first-time buyers keen to take their first step on the property ladder.
“We’re proud to be working with both Willmott Dixon and the council on bringing much-needed housing stock to the market and look forward to first move-ins early next year.”
