Savills’ Cambridge office has been awarded the contract from Home England to advise on phase two of the development of England’s newest town Northstowe.
The town, which is located north of the city of Cambridge, has already seen around 350 houses built with an additional 8,500 house and a town centre to be built by 2040.
The company’s development and public sector land teams will advise on the next stage of proceedings including the timings of the developments and the effectiveness of the mixed use aspects of the project.
Abigail Jones, associate director in the development team at Savills Cambridge, said: “Northstowe is a major new development in the heart of our patch. The town centre will be the focus of life within Northstowe with the opportunity to create a vibrant and distinctive identity.
“We’re looking forward to being able to play a part in that – using our knowledge and expertise of the region to ensure we deliver the best results possible for all concerned.”
