Manchester-based estate agency Edward Mellor announced it has recently acquired Meller Braggins, an agency in nearby Cheshire.
Despite rebranding as Edward Mellor, the Northwich branch of Meller Braggins will still retain its existing staff, the Northwich Guardian reports.
Edward Mellor said it hopes to “harness” the agency’s “wealth of local knowledge and experience” following the acquisition.
Peter Barlow, managing director at Edward Mellor, said: “There are plenty of estate agents for people to choose from, but our research showed that they are all operating in a very traditional manner and not like our other 11 branches, meaning that the customer experience could be improved upon.
“Our experience and working methods, achieving the best outcomes for our customers, allied with local knowledge from experienced staff, is very exciting.”
He added: “We are delighted to be working with the existing team at Meller Braggins, who have great experience in their locations.
“We believe that this, alongside the knowledge and marketing gained from the wider Edward Mellor business, will be a step-change for our current and future clients.”
