Build to rent operator Get Living has appointed former Savilles CEO, Jeremy Helsby, as its new non-executive chairman.
In his new position, Helsby’s responsibilities will see him providing strategic advice and support for Get Living as it continues to deliver on its “ambitious growth plans”.
He has over 40 years experience at Savills, 11 years of which were spent as CEO prior to his retirement in 2019.
Get Living’s residential neighbourhoods portfolio comprises 3,000 homes in London and Manchester, East Village on the Olympic Park in Stratford, Elephant Central in Elephant and Castle and the newly opened New Maker Yards in Manchester.
Helsby said: “I am excited to join the supervisory board at such a key time for the business and the sector, as Get Living continues to grow and lead the build to rent sector, pioneering the way residents in the UK live and rent.
“Supported by the extensive knowledge of the members of the supervisory board, alongside my fresh perspective, I hope to contribute insight which will further strengthen and evolve our market leading management platform ensuring we continue to lead the charge in managing a significant portfolio of operational assets, are building a strong development pipeline and offer exemplary operating capabilities in the UK.”
