Rightmove has appointed Shazam’s ex-CEO Andrew Fisher as its new non-executive chairman.
He succeeds Scott Forbes, who is set to depart in December after 14 years with the business.
Fisher was the CEO and chairman of music mobile app Shazam.
He also holds non-executive director roles at Marks and Spencer, Moneysupermarket and Merlin Entertainments, the parent company of Madame Tussauds and Alton Towers.
Commenting on his departure, Forbes, who has been with Rightmove since 2005 said: “It is with great pleasure and confidence that I hand over the chair to Andrew,” Forbes said. His experience in developing innovative digital businesses will be a great asset to Rightmove.”
Peter Brooks-Johnson, Rightmove’s chief executive officer added: “I’d like to thank Scott for his invaluable contribution to Rightmove’s success over the past years and particularly the support he’s shown me over the past three years as CEO.
“I’m delighted to welcome Andrew to Rightmove and look forward to working with him as we continue to innovate to make home moving easier.”
