Savills has announced its intention to donate over £800,000 to charities across the UK.
The property giant confirmed that an allocation of more than £800,000 will now be taken from its existing charitable fund and donated to nominated charities across the UK with immediate effect.
The move follows the group’s current commitment to Land Aid’s Covid-19 campaign for youth homelessness.
In light of the ongoing pandemic, it will now donate to further national and regional charities across the South West, Eastern, Southern, Midlands, Northern regions and Scotland.
The charities in question include those directly relating to NHS projects for both frontline workers as well as those impacted by the virus.
Funds will also go towards charities for care workers and care for the elderly, homelessness and food banks, refuge and women’s aid, mental health and action for children.
James Sparrow, CEO of Savills UK & EMEA, says: “The impact of Covid-19 is enormous and the knock on effects for so many members of the community are immeasurable.
“We are proud many of our staff are currently undertaking voluntary work within their local communities and we wanted to enable them to nominate charities they would particularly like to see supported at this time.”
